These last couple of mornings have got me thinking about fall, and fall gets me thinking about comfort foods, like meatloaf and mac n cheese, chili and french onion soup, pot roast and baked chicken dishes, pots of bubbling sauce simmering on the stove all day.  With all our hectic lives between working and kids school schedules its also a good time to plan menus that can be made into more than one serving, like roast an extra large chicken on Sunday with rosemary roasted potatoes and asparagus (everything came go right in the oven), then use the leftovers for a hearty chicken noodle soup, homemade chicken salad and maybe even shredded salsa chicken tacos.  I'm actually thinking of doing a weekly blog of multi dish recipes if anyone is interested.  Save time, money and stress...of course hiring The Dinner Belle as your Personal Chef can do that for you too.

Another hot day.  I am trying to decide what to do with a london broil I have been marinating for a couple of days.  Grilling is good but craving something different.  My neighbor is so sweet, she hired me to cook for her and her family of 10 and wanted to inculde me in the session price so I could join them for dinner.  Of course I told her that was silly, I will happily join them for dinner but certainly not charge her.  I'm looking forward to it, they are a gregarious group kind of like my own family.   Also have to be sure and hold off on the special martinis they are preparing, LOL.  Preparing Marinated Flank Steak, with Bada Bada Bing Potatoes and Outback Chopped Salad with Blue Cheese Vinegarette and candied pecans, Brownie A La Mode for dessert.  Sounds great guess I will stay for dinner.
